⟶ for investing in them
⟶ for not just saying you care, but showing them you care!
Daily Bread is your engaging, practical and fun answer for team enrichment.
Your team’s health is important to you, and you’ve seen the consequences when they don’t have the tools to manage it: burnout and turnover. You want to support your employees’ development, but the options you’ve found (expensive health tracking apps, complex corporate wellness programs) are too clunky for your team that is vital to your success.
About Colleen
Daily Bread Founder
Chef, Nutrition Coach and Personal Trainer
Hi, I’m Colleen Saumweber and with Daily Bread, I bring smart and engaging wellness events to professional service firms who want to support their teams’ health and resilience but don’t want the headache of delivering a complex corporate wellness program.
Daily Bread events aren’t about metrics, weight loss, or choosing to take the stairs. They’re about teaching your team new ways to think about and support their wellbeing, starting with the food on their plates. Plus, our events are actually fun!
The Daily Bread Wellness Story
Food isn’t just how we fuel our bodies. It touches every part of our lives. Our productivity, emotional stability, capacity to handle the inevitable challenges that come up, self-esteem, identity – all of it is impacted by how we engage with our food.
Having grown up in rural Minnesota to a family of farmers, I’ve always felt a connection to where our food comes from and a reverence for how we handle it. This drove me to pursue a culinary arts degree from the Culinary Institute of America where I learned how to transform humble ingredients into beautiful, satisfying and healthy dishes.
But food has always been so much more to me than flavor. I went on to get my bachelor’s degree in global health, deepening my understanding of how food impacts every area of our lives and collective wellbeing.
I later became certified in nutrition coaching and personal training so I could have the practical tools to bring what I know about food and food systems into people’s real, day-to-day lives. My work has since become about using food as a tool to help folks become more well, whether that’s through eating healthier, learning to cook meals they actually like, gathering loved ones around a table, or supporting their physical goals.
Where better to make an impact than in the space where we spend so much of our lives: the workplace!
Daily Bread is the culmination of my years of education and experience around food, global health, and wellness.
I’ve developed a system to help teams in the corporate setting rethink the way they engage with food so they can feel more empowered around their health, more connected to each other, and better prepared to use food as a tool to energize their work and their lives.
